A church which welcomes you in Jesus’
name, to grow and share in his love

We have an open baptism policy. This begins from a belief that baptism is a free gift from God, graciously given to all who would receive it. Each family in our parish wishing to have their child baptised is visited and the meaning and commitments of baptism explained. If families prefer not to make the vows and commitments we offer a Service of Thanksgiving. We offer a warm welcome, and to help nurture and support and help families in their care of babies and children we have Messy Church which is suitable for all ages and ABC: activities for Adults, Babies and Children.
Baptisms will normally take place within the 10.30 service on the 4th Sunday of the month. During the summer months if we have too many requests we will do additional 12 noon services as we try not too baptise more than two family's babies at once to keep our services child friendly and not too long.
Families will be visited in their homes before the baptism service so that the content and meaning of the service and vows can be discussed. Then families make their decision whether to proceed and complete an application for baptism. God parents need to be baptised.
To arrange a home visit in order to discuss arrangments, please ring Rev. Kath Rogers on 0151 931 4676.
